Experience in Retail Security
While managing an electronics design team, concerned with retail security systems, I also designed microstrip patch antennas (aerials) to give field patterns to suit the rather unusual application. The devices worked at 900MHz and 1800MHz, with shapes and sizes that could be readily incorporated into the limited space of the equipment to be installed in the shops.
The design analysis was coded (programmed) so that the code could generate the patterns for cutting the masters for photo-imaging as a direct output.
Having started out as an apprentice in electronics in the aerospace industry, doing development work, my experience in merging applied mathematics with practical engineering skills and business understanding spans from workshop to market strategy.
